Aaron Turner
Founder & Director of Athlete Development
Coach Aaron Turner is a well-known face, voice, and presence across multiple communities—often recognized by his signature laugh before he’s even seen. From serving as Head Wrestling Coach at Walled Lake Northern to leading Clarkston Junior Wolves JV White and coaching youth in both Clarkston and Lake Orion, he has built a reputation rooted in consistency, passion, and impact.
What truly sets Coach Turner apart is how he shows up. Known for his energy, kindness, and the respect he gives to athletes and their families, his mission goes far beyond wins and losses—he’s here to develop good humans.
In his room, character comes first. Athletes are taught to help opponents up, shake hands with intention, make eye contact, and carry themselves with confidence. These aren’t suggestions—they’re expectations, and they define the culture of The Den.
The Den was born from a lifelong vision. Growing up in Lake Orion, Coach Turner experienced firsthand the gaps in access and mentorship—and now he’s built a space where athletes of all levels feel supported, challenged, and valued.
When he’s not coaching, you’ll find him with his family—supporting his wife in her coaching roles, cheering on his kids, or spending time with his grandson, his best friend.
Coach Turner isn’t just building athletes—he’s building a legacy.
Nathaniel Carter
Wrestling Performance Coach
Nathanial “Nate” Carter is a 2026 graduate of Clarkston High School and one of the most respected young athletes to come through the program. With a lifelong background in wrestling, Nate took his dedication to the next level—becoming a multi-time state qualifier and earning the title of 2026 Division 1 State Champion.
As the oldest of four, Nate naturally brings patience, leadership, and a deep understanding of how to connect with younger athletes. His ability to teach, encourage, and lead by example makes him a powerful presence on and off the mat.
What truly sets Nate apart is his character. Known for his high level of respect for coaches, teammates, and competitors alike, he embodies the values we stand for at The Den. He is someone parents trust and athletes look up to.
As Nate takes the next step in his journey this fall, he remains committed to giving back—helping the next generation build confidence, discipline, and a strong foundation in the sport.
