Aaron Turner is the driving force behind The Den Athletics, bringing a vision rooted in experience, passion, and purpose. Known throughout the community for his presence, leadership, and unmistakable signature laugh, Aaron has built a reputation that extends far beyond the mat.
As a coach, Aaron has led at multiple levels, including Head Wrestling Coach at Walled Lake Northern and leadership roles within the Clarkston Junior Wolves program. But The Den was not created from titles—it was built from a deeper calling.
Growing up in Lake Orion as one of three boys, Aaron understood both the value of sports and the gaps that can exist in access, guidance, and consistent mentorship. There were moments where additional support could have made a difference—and that perspective is what ultimately shaped his vision for The Den.
Aaron set out to create more than just a training space. His goal was to build an environment where athletes of all levels feel seen, supported, and challenged—where development goes beyond performance and into character. A place where respect, accountability, and confidence are not just taught, but lived out daily.
Under his leadership, The Den Athletics stands as a reflection of that vision—a culture-first performance center built to serve the entire community, without barriers or limitations based on school or background.
When he’s not coaching, Aaron is with his family—supporting his wife in her coaching roles, cheering on his children, or spending time with his grandson, who holds a special place in his life.
As Founder, Aaron isn’t just building a facility—he’s building a legacy. One that will shape not only better athletes, but better people for years to come.
Ryan Kelly is a leader, coach, U.S. combat veteran, father of three, and Founding Partner of The Den Athletics. As a dad, Ryan is deeply involved in his children’s athletic journeys — supporting his daughters in cheer and encouraging his son, who is preparing to step onto the football field and has recently developed a passion for wrestling.
As a U.S. combat veteran and former collegiate athlete, Ryan understands the discipline, accountability, resilience, and mindset required to perform at a high level under pressure. Those experiences continue to shape how he mentors and supports young athletes, emphasizing confidence, preparation, and mental toughness both on and off the field.
Ryan has experienced The Den’s mission firsthand through his role as Offensive Coordinator for Clarkston Junior Wolves JV White, where he has seen Coach Aaron Turner’s leadership and athlete development approach in action. That experience reinforced his belief in the need for a high level training environment like The Den.
In addition to coaching, Ryan serves as President of the Clarkston Junior Wolves (formerly the Chiefs), where he plays an active role in strengthening youth athletics within the community. Professionally, he is the Broker/Owner of RE/MAX Eclipse (multiple offices in Southeast MI), where leadership, integrity, and performance standards are core to his business and team culture.
Ryan and his wife, who works within the local school system, have strong ties to the Clarkston community and recognized the impact The Den could have from the very beginning. What started as a conversation after a cheer competition quickly became a shared vision — creating a facility that helps young athletes build confidence, develop skills, and reach their full potential.
As a Founding Partner, Ryan is proud to help create an environment where athletes are challenged, supported, and developed both on and off the field.
Mike Redington is a proud father of three—two boys and a girl—and a constant, unwavering presence in their lives. Whether it’s wrestling, football, volleyball, or even a quiet day on the water fishing, Mike has always shown up. Not just as a spectator, but as a steady source of encouragement, support, and belief.
When Mike’s path crossed with Coach Turner, he quickly recognized something different. The way Turner coached—instilling confidence, discipline, and respect in his youngest son—left a lasting impression. It wasn’t just about the sport; it was about building something deeper. That moment helped spark Mike’s belief in what The Den could become.
Mike has been deeply involved in the wrestling community, serving two years on the board for the Clarkston Wrestling Club—earning the unofficial title of “master of all things spreadsheet.” He has also been the Defensive Coordinator for Clarkston Junior Wolves White alongside Aaron and Ryan, helping keep things running smoothly behind the scenes while supporting athletes every step of the way.
When he’s not on the sidelines cheering on his kids, Mike is often traveling for work, spending time in his garden, or finding his way back to the water to fish. Grounded, hardworking, and community-driven, he brings that same level of commitment to The Den.
Mike is grateful to be part of this journey and is excited to help build something meaningful—not just for his own children, but for a community he proudly calls home—one his wife also serves every day as an educator.
